Morning Forecast 4/16/24: More sunny 70s!

Good morning! Muncie is currently sitting in the lower 60s under more of these wonderfully sunny skies! Temps as we go throughout this morning will climb through the 60s, and look to reach the 70s right at lunchtime. Today is another great day to be outdoors. Winds look to range from the east to south-southeast at 10-15 mph.

Higher pressure is giving way to a system out to the west, which will introduce a warm front this afternoon.

The remainder of this morning sees sunny to mostly sunny skies, with perhaps a few clouds as the warm front pushes north, bringing slight rain/storm chances when we get into the afternoon, however it looks like most of us won’t see a thing until the evening hours. Bottomline, enjoy this great day.

We’re also tracking some potential for severe thunderstorms tomorrow. Main hazards look to be large hail and damaging winds, but a tornado or two cannot be ruled out. We’ll have more details in the next morning forecast discussion, which will be tomorrow morning!
