Morning Forecast 4/15/2024: Another Great Start

Good morning, Cardinal Country!! How about a start to Tax Day that isn’t taxing to the soul (although I know it’s still a Monday)! Clear skies and calm winds should allow for a warm start & a day similar to yesterday, although a weak back door cold front has gone through and NE winds could knock a few degrees off temperature-wise. Expect us to get into the 70s at or before lunchtime with those winds remaining light, which should allow for some pleasant lunch plans al fresco at your local downtown bistro or something of the like. With high pressure firmly in control & a dry atmosphere excepting some high clouds in the afternoon, today looks to remain clear.

The only time we look to increase cloud cover is in the late-night hours out ahead of a system which could make for some unsettled weather tomorrow and especially Wednesday. A Marginal (level 1 of 5) risk of severe thunderstorms exists tomorrow but that increases to a Slight (level 2 of 5) Wednesday with all types of severe thunderstorm threats on the table. Stay weather aware both of those days & stay tuned for more updates!
