Afternoon Discussion: 4/12/24

Happy Friday!

MUNCIE (CWS)- Rain is on its way out and sunshine will work its in just in time for the weekend! Temperatures will warm to the low to mid 60s by Saturday!

NATIONAL: Rain and mixed precipitation has returned for the West Coast. A stationary front extends over MT, ID, & OR, slowing down the movement of the rain system. A High pressure system in Western Iowa is keeping active weather at bay in the central plains.

REGIONAL: In the Midwest, rain still plagues the area as a low pressure center hovers over southern Quebec. Rain will continue move eastward towards the New England states by tonight.

LOCAL: There is still a flood warning in effect for Muncie, as many areas are experiencing pooling on the roads. Western winds are breezy with heavy gusts throughout the afternoon; however, that drier air will make its way into the area by late afternoon, aiding in some clearing. If clearing persists, temperatures should rise to the upper 50s.

That is all for now! Have a great day!
