Afternoon Forecast: 4/2/24

Good Afternoon Cards!

It is currently 62 degrees outside in Muncie. The sun is out right now, but don’t let that fool you. We are in for some significant weather this afternoon. This sky-clearing will allow for surface temperatures and dew points to rise, allowing the air to hold more moisture. Dewpoints above 50 F indicate a chance for severe weather, and we currently have a dewpoint of 55 F. This dewpoint will continue to rise to around 60 by 4 pm due to this heating, causing problems as we enter into the afternoon hours.

1300z SPC Day 1 Categorical Outlook
