Evening/Overnight Forecast 4/1

Good afternoon! There are a few things that we will be monitoring for this evening and overnight. Right now, skies are overcast and temperatures are just hovering around 50 degrees. Expect these conditions to persist through the evening. Temperatures this evening will not move much at all. Over the next 18 hours or so, we will continue to see a stationary front sit in Indiana and this will give us consistent temperatures. This will also be the reason for the prolonged period of rainfall overnight tonight and into tomorrow as well.

Rain will begin to become widespread around 9 PM. Rain chances will begin before this, but they will be isolated. Thunderstorms are also possible this evening, so do not be surprised if you hear a good amount of thunder tonight. Once we move into the overnight hours past midnight, rain will become heavy at times. This could lead to us seeing an accumulation of 1-2 inches of rain. This has put us under a Flood Watch beginning at 8 PM tonight and lasting through 2 PM tomorrow afternoon. As for the flood watch, be on the lookout for flash flooding on roadways as you are driving overnight and into the morning hours of tomorrow. Watch out for runoff from rivers as well.
