5-day Forecast: 3/30-4/5/2024: Rain, Rain & more Rain.

Good Morning Cardinals, Happy Good Friday!

Do you remember a couple weeks ago when we had constant warm temperatures with sunny weather. Just wait till you see the line up for our next 5 – days. We should still experience warmer temperatures, but with 2 added bonuses, showers & Thunderstorms.

For today (3/29/24) we will have such beautiful weather. Warm temperatures reaching a high of 64°F with the sun shining all day. But when we look at tonight, we see showers (80%) start to move into our system with a possibility of thunderstorms as well, more so after 2 am. Our low for this evening will be 51°F.

Before I go into depth with the 5-day forecast I’d like to bring to light that the Storm Prediction Center has issued a 4–8-day severe weather outlook. This means that starting today to next Friday, the National Weather Service is keeping a close watch on severe weather. Day 4 (Monday, April 1st) to (Tuesday, April 2nd) we have a potential 15% threat of severe weather for our area. What this means is possible wind damage, potential hail, and even a potential tornado. I recommend keeping a close eye on the weather and watching for updates as we get closer and closer to Monday.

Taking a peek into our Easter weekend, it looks to be pretty wet and rainy. Saturday, we start off the morning with showers and probable thunderstorms before noon. Scattered showers and clouds here and there for the remainder of the day. When we head into the evening our chances of showers and thunderstorms go up again.

Looking at our Easter Sunday we see showers and thunderstorms (70%) present and probable after 3pm. Mostly cloudy for Easter, but still warmer temperatures in the low 60’s. Looking into Sunday evening the chance of precipitation goes up (80%) with possibly a thunderstorm associated with that.

Headed into the next 3-days of next week we see a lot of the same thing- clouds, showers, & thunderstorms. For Monday temperatures are going to be in the high 60’s possible low 70’s. Showers & thunderstorms very likely (90%) for that day. Even into the evening we will still continue to see those showers push through. Precipitation (90%) with thunderstorms as well. With Tuesday these showers & thunderstorms still continue until about 3pm. A tad bit breezy with winds reaching 18-20 mph with gusts as high at 30 mph. For the evening the chances for showers and thunderstorms actually go down. Precipitation (20%) and thunderstorms. Still a bit breezy with winds northwest 15 to 20 mph and gusts as high as 28 mph. Wednesday, we see this precipitation and wetness go away for a little bit, precipitation (30%) partly sunny. A little bit breezy. And headed into that evening we see a continuation of 30% showers and clouds.

I would recommend keeping the umbrellas handy because it’s going to be a bit wet out. Stay safe as well! Enjoy the weekend and Happy Easter.
