Morning Forecast/Discussion 3/25/2024: You’ll Be Blown Away By How Warm It Is!

Good Morning, Cardinal Country! We’re waking up to the last Monday in March with breezy conditions and somewhat cloudy conditions that will soon turn into partly cloudy afternoon that will feel like it came straight out of April! These windy conditions – expected to pick up through the day – have prompted the National Weather Service in Indianapolis to issue a *Wind Advisory* for our area from 6 pm this evening through 6 pm tomorrow. Winds will occasionally gust at or over 45 mph this evening, leading to some tree limbs being blown down, along with a few reports of power outages in some areas. Secure those loose outdoor objects away from the wind today, especially during the advisory period, and be watchful about where your trash bin goes on the curb if it is pickup day where you live!

As these S to SSE winds continue, these cloudy skies look to break up quite a bit, as already indicated on satellite, and that, along with our winds, should help us to warm up quite famously. In fact, we warm up above 60 before lunchtime, based on how things are currently warming, and given the clearing and strong push of warm air these southerlies give us! Enjoy some time out today, as we do not expect precipitation until late tonight or tomorrow morning. Maybe get out and go on an adventure like The Hobbit or Lord of the Rings characters Bilbo or Frodo Baggins did, since it’s National Tolkien Reading Day, according to the National Day Calendar?
