Afternoon Forecast/Discussion 3/22/2024: Another Cold Front?

Good Morning and happy Friday, Cardinal Country! On “National Goof Off Day,” it looks like the early part of the afternoon is the best time to get that done outside! We are going to be gradually clouding up as a mid and low-level cloud deck deepens through the afternoon, and then the outside chance of some shower activity, especially later on. We will do somewhat better on temperatures today but that temp growth will be stunted at least by the cloud cover that comes in time for peak heating. We are not expecting things to cool down that much as the heavier clouds and rain chances are expected to hold off due to our drier lower levels. As we head towards the later part of the afternoon and evening, there is the chance that the dry lower levels moisten, but the bulk of the rain is expected closer to midnight when our cold front passes.
