Evening Forecast/Discussion, 3/12/24: Nice Evening to Plant a Flower!

Good Afternoon, Cardinals!! We have reached a high temperature of 68 degrees so far—almost 20 degrees above normal (49 being the average)—and we will stay at or even possibly exceed that temperature before we head into the evening.

We have some high clouds that could cause the temperature to increase, but those could break up later in the afternoon and early evening, which play a factor into how much cooling we get. Some models only cool us to around 50, while others head towards the middle 40s. Given the clearing seen on satellite, that suggests we’ll head more toward the latter, but that doesn’t occur until we are getting out the door & getting our day started tomorrow.

We also experience some breezy conditions, with winds gusting as high as 25 mph before sunset and slacking off after that point. With the warmth and sunlight hanging around through 8 this evening (not dropping into the upper 50s until after sunset), it looks to be a great time to observe National Plant a Flower Day if you’re looking to grow some of those daffodils we’ve seen popping up in places! Bloom like a flower & enjoy this awesome weather!
