Morning Forecast 2/27

Good morning! This morning expect temperatures to quickly warm up to the mid 60s as we reach our high in the lower to mid 70s. Skies will remain mostly clear with some cloud cover moving in as the day goes on. We will start to see rain chances later in the evening after around 4-5 PM. There are a few hazards to talk about as we get into later today…

-We are under a Hazardous Weather Outlook that was put in place early this morning by the National Weather Service. This includes the possibility of thunderstorms with some becoming severe later on in the evening. With these storms there will be threats of damaging hail, isolated tornadoes, lightning, and damaging winds as well. Storms are also expected to move upwards of 40 mph. Wind gusts could be upwards of 45 mph as well. With a prolonged period of sunshine and not a lot of clouds, this could fuel storm development as the day goes on.

-Depending on a few different factors as the day goes on, storms may become severe enough to where watches/warnings will be issued. It is very important to have emergency alerts active on your phone or have a weather radio to tune into.

As always pay attention to local broadcasts on TV and local radio alerts for quick updates on the current weather situation. Have a great day and be safe!
