Evening/Overnight Forecast 2/16

Good evening, we hope you are having a great Friday so far. It has been snowing for quite awhile now and expect it to continue through the evening. Snow has started to accumulate on some roads and sidewalks, so be careful if you are driving or walking anywhere today. Visibility has lowered to half a mile. As far as timing for the snow, expect it to continue until around 9 PM tonight. Focusing on the next few hours, the Storm Prediction Center has mentioned possible snowfall rates of 1 inch/hour. This will heavily reduce visibilities. We have been put under a Winter Weather Advisory until 9 PM EST tonight. This applies to most of central Indiana. The advisory states that conditions will deteriorate as we move into the evening hours. Be extra cautious on the drive home today. As far as snowfall totals, expect about 2-3 inches by the end of this system.

Temperatures will start to cool down as we move into tonight. Lows will drop below 20 degrees with wind chill values dropping into the single digits. Stay safe this evening and have a great night!
