Afternoon Discussion 2-14-24

Happy Valentine’s Day cardinals! Here in Muncie, today will be another beautiful sunny day perfect for going out with your loved ones. This afternoon’s high will be 44°F with a windchill becoming non-existent by late this afternoon. Not very windy today either wind with around 3-5 mph gusting up to 7mph. No chance for precipitation today but there will be a chance for some rain tomorrow morning. So enjoy our last sunny day for the next little.

Across the country, a few systems are bringing some rain and snowfall. In the west and upper midwest, there is heavy snowfall coming in with winter storm warnings issued in South Dakota and western Minnesota and winter weather advisories stretching the remainder of Minnesota into Wisconsin. Rain will be coming into Iowa, northern Illinois, and Indiana by tonight into tomorrow morning with this low taking us out of the high we here in Muncie have been in. California is still getting lots of rain with northern California getting up to half an inch of rain in the next 24 hours. The Sierra Nevada mountains are also under winter storm warnings with up to 2 feet of snow expected in higher elevations. No severe weather is on the horizon over the next few days across the country.

Have a Happy Valentine’s Day Cardinals and enjoy the nice weather.<3
