Afternoon Discussion – 02/14/24

Weather Prediction Center

Hello Cardinals! Happy Valentine’s Day!

Taking a look nationwide, there is a low pressure area out in the West/Northwest coast that is bringing mixed precipitation, snow, and rain. Winter Weather warnings and advisories have been sent out. We can see more snow conditions up North in the Dakotas and Montana.

Regionally, we had a high pressure over Indiana, which is why we are celebrating the day of love with clear, chilly skies. Northern Missouri, Northern and Central Illinois, and Northwest Indiana are experiencing rain that is being pushed from the low pressure by Nebraska and Kansas.

Here in Muncie, as mentioned, we are experiencing clear skies with temperatures reaching 46° today. We have soft wind blowing at 3 mph with gusts at 7 mph.

Have a great afternoon!
