Good Afternoon, Cardinal Country! We’re glad that the low clouds have finally dispersed and the sun is finally back out!! We look to warm up at least a little thanks to the clear skies, but not much thanks to some of that lower-level moisture hanging around, making it to around 42° in a few hours with an east-northeasterly wind that might make these temperatures feel 2-4 degrees cooler than that, requiring the jacket or coat, but at least we can keep that open since the sun will help out. As we cool off into the evening, we do that somewhat quickly due to the clear skies sticking around, and we cool to an overnight low of 29°. At the same time, due to that lower-level moisture still hanging around closer to the ground due to an inversion (remember that blog about that upside-down-ness where there’s warmer air thousands of feet above the ground? That’s what’s trapping some of that moisture in, and as we cool down, we find ourselves in a frosty situation tomorrow morning as we head out. With that being said (As I’ve experienced a few times this semester), you’ll need to give yourself around 5 or so minutes of extra time to scrape that off your vehicle & allow it to heat up before making your way to work or school. Kind of an interesting weather setup, because the National Day Calendar says it’s National Frozen Yogurt Day!
Have a great evening & stay awesome, everyone!
