This morning was chilly, with Muncie hitting 24º for the morning low during sunrise. Temps have since risen into the upper 30s, with Muncie now at 39º. Temps rise into the 40s by 1 PM.
There is also a distinct difference in the skies. There is some sunshine out there! Skies have become mostly sunny as we get into the afternoon. Skies are much better compared to overcast and gloomy conditions of last week. Through the afternoon, a few clouds could mix in, but staying mostly sunny.
Rain chances are not forecast today as a high pressure is stationed off to our west. This high pressure sticks around for most of the workweek, keeping us dry until Thursday night, when a powerful system brings warmth followed by rain chances.
Bottomline, above-average temps will be observed over the workweek as we get progressively warmer each day, and that warming trend starts today! I don’t mind some more 50s!
