Good Afternoon, Cardinals! Yeah, I know… The clouds are back. While these same things are why Punxsutawney Phil didn’t see his shadow, they and a back-door cold front each have something to do with why we’re back to being a certain level of dismal in the weather department. Also, because these cool winds are out of the northeast, they’re blowing from over the (relatively) warmer Lake Erie waters which – in a similar process to how we get lake-effect snow – is reinforcing that cloud deck. This sets the tone for today’s cooling and continued cloudiness, which serves to hold us in the 40s and then cool us off as the winds pick up and clouds continue to roll in.
Thankfully, this shouldn’t be another “permacloud” layer, as a warm front & high-pressure system behind it are the next weather story, serving to clear things out as well as warm us up during the weekend! Then, our true old friend, the Sun, can grace us with its presence & help us to have a wonderful weekend! That is my hope for all of you, and GO CARDS!! Women’s Basketball takes on the Ohio University Bobcats tomorrow at 1:00 PM! Stay awesome & continue this epic season as you defend the TOP SPOT in the MAC!!
