Afternoon Forecast 1/31

Good Afternoon!

The last day of January is ending somewhat quiet for most of the country. However, many areas on the west coast are experiencing heavy winds coming off the Pacific. These winds have the potential to bring in some heavy rain and snow chances to the more inland states. This could cause flooding along the coasts.

As we look closer to home in the Midwest, active weather is not truly a concern for much of the area. A warm up in temperatures seem to be the common theme for the Midwest, as we will begin to see temperatures reaching the mid-40s. There is a potential to rain and storms in the central plains but seem to run into some dry air as it approaches Illinois.

Cloudy conditions are present today and we could experience some patches of drizzle in central part of the state. We will reach a high of about 40 degrees by noon. Indiana will be under the influence of a high pressure, that will be sitting off to our south, starting on Thursday. This will bring clearer conditions by the end of the week.

Have a good day!
