Afternoon Forecast/Discussion 1/26/2024: Gloomy and Brisk with Mist Still Meandering

Good Midday & Happy Friday, Cardinals! As you might have noticed this morning, it’s almost copy-and-paste from yesterday -oof! We have another matte grey finish to the sky, but at least we have cut the AM fog that has been recurring for the past three mornings – that’s a plus because the driving visibilities for us are remarkably better!

Overall, this is a transition day out of that unseasonable warmth (at least for the weekend), with temps about 10 degrees cooler than that of yesterday (those who loved the 50s yesterday must be feeling it today, especially when you tack on the wind chill). We also have continued mist which will be with us & has been packed up at the weather station at Johnson Field (Muncie’s local airport), too! That will contribute to a “bleh” feel to things out there, but not all too nasty.

For temperatures, we’ll stay steady in the 40s & have continued grey skies & misty conditions as the theme of the day, and the winds that we have around will more-or-less persist. Given this weather situation, it’s a jacket kind of day out there for your lunch plans & walks outside. Quite the dreary, raw day out there, but considering what we’ve had recently, it could be much worse! Have a safe & wonderful weekend!
