Good afternoon! If you have taken a look outside today, you can see that we have gotten some snow. This is great news for winter weather people! The total for Muncie is about 3 inches with some areas being above or below that.
As for the forecast today, expect much of the snowfall to exit the area through the rest of the day. There will be a chance for scattered snow showers later this evening, but there will not be much accumulation from that. Overall, the impacts today that still remain are blowing snow and the frigid temperatures. Winds right now remain around 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. A Wind Chill Advisory will be put in place from 7 PM tonight until 10 AM tomorrow. This is due to wind chill values dropping below zero tonight through the overnight hours. If you plan to go out this evening, be sure to put several layers on to avoid frostbite. Have a great weekend!
