Hello, Cardinal Country!! We hit 80 degrees yesterday, something we haven’t been above for 203 days until that point! We look to reach or exceed that mark today, so it’s another great day to take your work outside (and the background of this 5-day was made while we were making this 5-day forecast)! A decent weather maker is on the horizon for the weekend, however, with some clouds and showers filtering in during the evening hours Friday with the best dynamics for showers & some thunderstorms expected through the afternoon ad evening hours. It’s possible that some of those might be on the strong side, but the timing & atmospheric cap we have in place as the system nears may limit or change to allow for more coverage, so stay tuned! We’re also looking at those chances perhaps having a better shot of moving forward to Sunday based on the data coming in today as well. Otherwise, temperatures should take a tumble (I know 🙁 ) as we work through the weekend into next week, however longer rage trends support a rebound from the lower to mid 50s Monday through the 60s Tuesday, then back to the groovy 70s Wednesday & beyond as another ridge of high pressure works into the area, so at least this cooldown will be brief! Enjoy, and fly safe, Cardinals!!
