
Good evening, Muncie! Today is one of those days you NEED to be weather aware. Our current alert is a Wind Advisory now until Saturday at 6:00 P.M. The Storm Prediction Center has upgraded the majority of the state to an Moderate risk for severe weather which is level 4/5. As well a hatch 45% for winds (greater than 70mph). The severe weather threat will arrive this evening, along a cold front. A line of storms is expected to develop ahead of the front. Widespread high-end damaging wind along with several tornadoes are primary hazards. Threat occurs from 5pm-1am statewide. We’re likely to see this in two waves. Storms along the front will be the strongest. Be weather aware if you’re heading out tonight at all, and have a way to get weather alerts ahead of these storms.
