Heavy Rain, High Winds and Snow?

Currently our temperature is 40 degrees but feels like 34 outside with heavy rain falling down. Winds E 28mph with gust 40mph!

There is a lot going on with our weather today! Our current Weather Alerts are High Wind Warning now until 1 am Saturday. North Winds will produce 30-40mph but gust up to 60mph. As well as a Flood Watch now until Saturday 1 am. We will have rain total by the end of this up to 2-3″.

As well we could break a record for the lowest pressure recorded in Indiana later on today. Could have the lowest pressure values locally since the Blizzard of 1978 may occur with this storm… and possibly rival the lowest pressure ever recorded in Indianapolis 28.78”

Of course we will have the rain and wind, there will be a few storms will be possible this afternoon into the early evening, creating stronger gusts lightning and a possible rotating storm. We will have Rainfall up to half an inch an hour at times and flooding.

Tonight rain will continue along with the wind as colder air begins to take over the area. This will bring a rain/snow mix locally with wet snow falling in counties north of Muncie. As the night end it will become colder, and drier air that will work in overnight. Stay weather aware for the rest of the day as this system slowly start to exit the state.
