Good afternoon BSU! Currently we are experiencing a tornado watch, as well as a wind advisory. These will be in affect until 4 pm and 7 pm respectively. Please be cautious about going outside during this time, especially if you are driving on the road. Muncie is experiencing gusts as high as 40 mph, with current gusts at 35 mph. The maximum gust speed will be reached around 11 pm, so expect high gusts throughout the day. We are close to our peak temperature at 64 degrees currently, and it will decrease into the mid 50s through 8 pm, where it will then move into the high 40s. Rain will continue for the next few hours and should begin to dissipate around 6.
In summary, we are finished with thunderstorms for the day, but will continue to see precipitation and high wind through the evening.
