5-day Forecast 2/24-2/28/2023: Cold Today, but Temps to Go Upstairs, Strong System Monday

Good Morning, Cardinals! It may be quite frigid out there but we have something that might warm your heart (and YOU) up as we make our way for the weekend! Starting from the upper 30s today (which most likely has been a big shock to the system considering the 66° that we reached yesterday), a ridge of high pressure and then some SW winds will help flip our temperature trend back around. We start in the mid-40s on Saturday then SOAR (see what I did there, Cardinals?) into the 60s again on Monday. That is the day we’re monitoring something that isn’t so much good news as a windy & stormy system is expected to pull through our area. Outside of any thunderstorms that might form, the winds could be particularly strong, but if we get enough moisture & instability you could develop some thunderstorms that are strong in their own right. Otherwise, periods of heavier rain as well as strong winds look pretty solid before we cool down (boo!) but not so much (yayyy!!) on our Tuesday. Fly safe, and enjoy your weekend Cardinals!
