Good afternoon! We are currently sitting at 47 degrees and the rain has stopped for now, but expect more rain to move in in the next few hours. The chance of rain will increase once we get into the afternoon hours. The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Muncie. This says that there is a possibility of scattered thunderstorms with heavy rain at times. The greatest chance for thunder will be later in the afternoon. As for temperatures, expect a high of around 50-52 degrees. It will not warm up much for today. Winds will stay mostly calm around 10-15 mph with some gusts later on today.
A low pressure system is the reason for these rain showers and will continue to give us rain as we move throughout the day. Attached to this low pressure system is a warm front, but the front is staying south of us so we will not see a warm-up of any sorts for today. Have a great rest of your day!
