No, this is not an April Fool’s joke. Yes snow in April, a reminder to everyone asking the same question as the title above, it can snow in April. The last day of reported snow in 2021 was on April 20th so it can happen.
With that out of the way, good morning to everyone out there! As of 8:30am at the Muncie Airport it was 35°F under a cloudy sky. A strong west-northwest wind was observed at 15 mph, gusting to 23 mph, producing a 25°F. A very slight chance of a snow shower is still possible this morning, however chances of snow will decrease as the day goes on today. Temperatures will stay in the 30’s for the morning today reaching close to 40°F by noon today. Winds today will hold strong at 10-15 mph for much of the morning with occasional gusts to 25 mph possible, winds will not diminish until late afternoon today. Clouds will slowly start to break up as the day progresses and we should see consistent breaks in the clouds by noon today, if not sooner.
