Cold, but Very Pleasant Morning Expected!

Good morning to all of you out there! For Ball State Students, happy Spring Break eve! Were starting off the day today a little on the chilly side. It is currently 31ºF as of 9 am at the Muncie Airport with an east wind at 10 mph, producing a Windchill of 22ºF. If you have spent anytime in the sun thus far this morning it may not feel like it’s 22ºF like the Windchill says. Just a testament to how strong the sun’s energy will be in play today and for the weekend despite it being early in the morning with a low sun angle. We expect a quick warmup under the mostly sunny to sunny skies today as we will go from the low 30’s as of 9am to the mid 40’s by noon. The winds will shift from the east to the southeast and will remain constant in strength at about 10 mph. Our forecasted high is 50ºF, that will occur in the late afternoon early evening hours, some areas might get warmer than 50ºF today. Windchill will play a factor only for the early morning hours, we expect the Windchill values to be in the 20’s until about 11 am.
