As the low-pressure system to the north of us continues moving eastward, gusty winds will continue blowing for the next several hours. Gusts above 50 mph have been blowing in Muncie and other cities for the past few hours, and for the next several hours, we expect gusts between 45-50 mph, with sustained winds of 25-30 mph, to continue blowing through Muncie. There are reports of thousands of people without power, sand these gusts could cause damage to trees and power lines, so be careful when traveling near power lines and trees, and be careful with driving today.
Addtionally, temperatures will continue cooling down, with temperatures expected to drop to the mid-30s by 3 pm. Fortunately, rain showers will likely stay gone after 3 pm, so just expect cloudy skies.
In short, it will be windy and cool today, so make sure to stay safe and warm.
