This morning and afternoon will be dangerously breezy. As an intense low-pressure system, indicated by the top image, continues moving north of us today, temperatures will start out in the mid-50s, but then they’ll drop to the mid-40s by the afternoon. Barring a stray shower or two, expect mostly cloudy skies.
More importantly, however, as the system continues moving east, sustained winds of 25-35 mph are likely for the whole day, with gusts of up to 60 mph possible in some places in Central Indiana. That’s why we’re under a High Wind Warning until 9 pm tonight. These gusts could cause damage to power lines and trees, so as you head out today, make sure to stay safe.
