The cold is beginning to set-in and with that we will see a transitional period from rain to a wintry mix in the next few hours. That rain will fully become snow after 4 PM today as we dip below freezing. Watch out for those gusting winds as well. Critical thickness values seem to time out slightly later than originally thought. A wintry mix will hit the area around 3 PM and last until about 4 PM when that full transition into snow happens. Driving conditions will worsen at this time as slick road surfaces are probable.
