Today will start with a warm, partly cloudy morning and move on to an afternoon filled with rain and thunderstorms, as a low-pressure system moves north of us. Temperatures will jump from the low-70s now to the upper-70s by noon, with winds remaining light and skies becoming mostly cloudy, with some possible pop-up showers. Then between 2 to 4 pm, showers and thunderstorms will begin rolling through the area. Some of them will produce heavy rain and gusts above 20 mph, which is why the SPC has us in a marginal risk for severe weather. In summary, make sure to finish your plans before the afternoon, and make sure to stay dry and stay safe for today.
