Hot temperatures will continue to persist over the next few days before thunderstorms make their way into the forecast on Sunday afternoon. Some localized heavy rain will bring a break in the heat as the following days are expected to be in the low 80’s. Sunny skies for the forecast period, with the exception of the showers on Sunday, when a low-pressure system will travel through our area.
