A heat wave is approaching as the rain showers move out we will begin to see a clearing and hot temperatures dominate the area. Mostly sunny skies will continue through the weekend. There is a small chance for thunderstorms in the afternoon of Saturday and that will be present through Monday night. Watch for highs in the mid-to-upper 90’s and a heat index over 100 for the next few days.
