These next few days will start with rain showers and eventually end with heat, as remnants of Tropical Storm Barry (which made landfall in the Gulf States a few days earlier) move through Indiana and bring thunderstorms. These thunderstorms might bring bouts of heavy rain, which will likely cause isolated flooding problems, so make sure to be careful for the next few days. After that, high-pressure systems move warm air into Indiana, pushing temperatures into the low-90s and pushing the heat index to higher levels. Make sure to extra precautions for the next few days, such as driving safely during heavy rain events.
