Tonight will start out with really warm temperatures and then bring storms through Central Indiana, as a low-pressure system pushes a cold front right into the warm air mass that is in Indiana tonight. Most of these storms will come after 5 pm, likely coming in between 6 to 9 pm. Some of them might produce some gusty winds, which is why we’re still under a marginal risk. Additionally, it’ll be warm, as we’ll reach our high of 96 at 5 pm, with high humidities and light winds bringing the heat index to over 100 degrees. After 5 pm, temperatures will drop to the mid-80s by 8 pm, and by 11 pm, we’ll still be in the upper-70s. In summary, not only will it be very warm this evening, but we’ll also see possible storms tonight. Make sure to take an umbrella, drink lots of water, and drive safely tonight.
