We have our first hot day of the year. Highs will reach the lower 90’s this afternoon, with only a gentle SW wind of 4-7 mph to provide relief. There is a small chance for pop-up thunderstorms this afternoon. These remain the effects of a high-pressure system moving to the south of us. As a ridge traverses to the north of us, it will continue to prolong these warmer temperatures and sunny skies.
