We’re at 77°F right now and we expect those temperatures to rise into the lower 80’s this afternoon. Winds will also pick up after noon as gusts can be up to 24 mph. Precipitation will stay clear of the area until after 4 PM. A cold front to the north of us is providing some of the instability needed for these pop up thunderstorms. More severe weather tonight and into tomorrow as this slow moving low-pressure system continues to make its way through this area. We have been averaging intense amounts of convective available potential energy that keep this threat of severe weather consistent.
