The Sunday before Memorial Day will be similar to yesterday, as a cold front moves downward through Indiana. Right now, temperatures are in the upper-60s, but they are expected to rise as we move through the afternoon hours, reaching 77 by noon and a high of 80 by late-afternoon. The big story, however, is the rain, as the SPC has placed parts of Indiana under a marginal risk for severe weather due to the cold front. Rain showers and isolated thunderstorms will likely move through Central Indiana around mid-afternoon, bringing heavy rain. We’ll be watching for those showers. In short, as you head out, make sure to take some rain gear and some extra water, and make sure to drive safely.
