A low-pressure system to the north of US is pulling in large amounts of warm air from the south into parts of Indiana, and it’s expected to continue doing so for most of the day. Right now, temperatures are in the mid-70s, with winds being light. We expect temperatures to continue rising throughout the morning hours, reaching the low-80s by noon. Skies will remain mostly clear, leading to a beautiful morning. Winds will also increase in speed, jumping to 10 to 15 mph by noon. However, the decent amount of humidity will make this morning feel muggy and hot, so take lots of water when you head out today.
It’s also worth mentioning that pop-up showers, and even an isolated storm or two, are possible for the afternoon and evening hours, which is why we’re under a marginal risk for severe weather according to the SPC. We’ll keep you updated on any showers that come to the area.
