Shorely Good Weather

Ball State students everywhere are preparing for trips home and all over. Some are going to warm, beachfront destinations in the country and some may go abroad. The top 3 most popular vacation spots for students this time of year are #1 Cancún, Mexico; #2 Miami Beach, Florida; and #3 South Padre Island, Texas. Cardinal Weather Service has decided to provide you with some insight to possible trips this weekend and what to prepare for. Sunscreen is already a must!

As for Cancún, we’re looking at pretty regulated warm weather. Highs of low 80’s and lows of low 70’s. The humidity actually makes it feel slightly warmer than it is, raising temps by a few degrees, but not overly oppressive. Low chances of precipitation all weekend, so don’t expect to be rained on. There will be some clouds for the next few days, by Sunday expect clear conditions however!
Miami Beach is looking to be relatively the same in terms of conditions. It’s slightly more northern location gives slightly cooler temperatures. There we are looking for highs in the upper 70’s and low 80’s. Overall more sunny conditions here, but still a slightly higher chance for precipitation at times, like on Saturday evening and Sunday morning where there is a 20% chance of rain.
South Padre Island, again, is looking to have cooler temperatures with highs in the 70’s and lows in the 60’s. This time likely due to being surrounded by water and it maintaining a more average temperature. This tends to stay relatively the same until Sunday evening where windy and cooler conditions are looking to pop up at this time. Clouds are going to stick around all throughout the weekend however, and there are some chances of precipitation. A 10% chance today, a 20% chance on Saturday, and 10% chance on Sunday.
