Good Evening. We are looking at a chilly night ahead of us. This evening, we can expect cloudy conditions as temperatures will reach the low 20s. Winds will be relatively calm so not a big wind chill factor for tonight. Moving into the overnight hours, temps will reach down to low 20s and even possibility in the upper teens. Winds are expected to kick up and create wind chill temperatures down in the mid teens.
These cold temperatures overnight with cloudy conditions can bring frost to the morning hours. This is due to relatively cold temperatures and dew points being around 21 F. When a surface, like a car windowshield, is colder than the dew point, water vapor turns into liquid which then this liquid freezes onto windshields giving us frost. Be prepared for possible frost over windshields tomorrow morning.
