Overnight periods of snow and light freezing drizzle has created a mess of untreated surfaces this morning. Many roads appear wet, but instead are black ice. Road crews are scrambling to treat the roadways so please exercise caution when commuting this morning. Light snow showers remain a threat throughout the morning before tapering off this afternoon. No accumulations are expected besides a coating on raised surfaces like cars.
Temperatures will remain below freezing with west winds in the 10-15 mph range causing the wind chills to feel much colder. Chances for snow return tomorrow as a cold front passes through Central Indiana allowing a brief period snow tomorrow afternoon.
