Snowy Start to the Week

Good morning Cardinals! Out the Door Forecast: Hi:38 Low:29 Winds: East 5-10 mph Current: 34 and Overcast

Overnight snow fell around Muncie accumulating up to a half in on elevated and grassy surfaces. An upper wave moved through the area causing increased lift and moisture. Precipitation quickly turned to snow as the column was cold enough to support frozen precipitation. Surface temperatures are slightly above freezing and any accumulated snow will melt before noon. Precipitation is also moving off towards the east and should be finished by 10 am with some patchy drizzle that could stick around.

The rest of our Monday remains dry with winds picking up out of the northwest. This will continue the trend of below average temperatures for another day…! Clouds and overcast conditions will prevail so if you missed the sunshine you will have to wait another day or two! (End of the week looks near average with sunshine!)
