Increasing clouds and overcast skies will continue this afternoon and evening as a low pressure system nears the area. Temperatures this afternoon will only reach the upper 40’s, with winds out of the northeast at 5-10 mph. There is a slight chance of rain as the afternoon and evening progresses, but we should stay dry for most of the afternoon.
Snow flurries are possible later in the evening, with snow accumulations up to an inch possible. Once the cold front and low pressure system sweeps through the area, a much cooler air mass will dominate the region through the rest of the week. Temperatures on Tuesday and Wednesday will only reach the lower to mid 30’s. Another system approaches the area on Thursday, which could bring additional snow to the area. Stay tuned as we get closer to Thursday and the forecast is refined!
