Good morning Cardinal country! Today is going to feel like another day in August, even though many of us are ready for Halloween already. Temperatures already are in the mid-70s, and will only continue to rise throughout the morning going into early afternoon. The average high in our area for October 2nd is 71, and we have already hit that, so we will definitely be seeing above average temperatures once again today. Another aspect we should be seeing later today is the chance of showers this afternoon. A cold front moving through the area will bring the storms, but not much relief from the warmth. Temperatures will remain in the upper 70s throughout the afternoon. Chances for these storms along that front will begin around or after 2pm and remain until evening. If you are going to be out this afternoon, don’t forget your umbrella!
