As mentioned in the morning discussion, a stationary front continues to be positioned near the Indiana-Michigan state line. High pressure to the south of this front continues to bring warm air in from the south and keep skies partly cloudy through the day today. Temperatures rise to the mid to lower 80’s by this afternoon. As the low pressure system associated with the stationary front moves eastward, clouds will build into the area by this evening. There is a slight possibility for a stray shower tonight, but most areas should stay dry.
This stationary front will continue to hang around the area for the rest of the week. Thunderstorms will be possible through the day tomorrow as the low nears the area. Severe weather is not expected. Conditions should clear out by Wednesday, with chances for rain and thunderstorms returning through the rest of the week and into the weekend. Temperatures will continue to remain above average, with highs in the upper 70’s to low 80’s likely.
