As a high pressure system dominates the area, hot temperatures will remain in place. Today with will be hot out there with highs in the upper 80s. Along with the hot temperatures will come heat indexes in the lower 90s. So if you are out and about stay hydrated.
As you are packing for your day bring the sunscreen too as it will be sunny all day. There will be a slight chance of a isolated shower or storm this afternoon, but most of the area should remain dry.
Ever wonder what causes the humid/muggy conditions? Well it will be humid out there today because of the SW winds we are experiencing. When winds blow in from the SW it brings the gulf moisture into our area causing there to be a lot of moisture in the air making for uncomfortable conditions.
