Just to give a better visual regionally, Muncie is currently on the western edge of a high pressure system. The cold front which passed through the Mid-West a few days ago has left cooler temperatures and fair weather behind for the time being. There is a warm front closing in on Indiana, which is currently over the Mississippi River, and is expected to pass through the area in the next day, bringing back the warm and humid conditions.
As for today, the skies should remain hazy with cirrus clouds dimming out the sun. Chances of thunderstorms in the area today are near zero percent. Temperatures should peak around 3-5pm in the high 80s or lower 90s as the warm and humid conditions begin to push back into the region. Winds should remain light throughout the day, generally coming from the south. As we close out the afternoon, temperatures should fall back into the 70s around 9pm, and continue to fall to the lower 70s as tomorrow morning approaches. Overall a very calm and quiet day for Muncie, IN.
