Warm temperatures and severe weather around today

We got warmer temperatures but with severe weather in play for today! Highs will be in the mid to upper 60’s all across East Central Indiana with rain throughout the day. Winds will also be gusty to above 35 mph at times. Be sure to have your rain gear today.

Rain and storms will be around throughout the morning and late afternoon/evening hours, with a slight break in the early afternoon hours. The SPC has arranged parts of East Central Indiana (Richmond, Losantville, parts of Muncie) under an ENHANCED RISK for severe weather today. This means that numerous severe storms are possible and more persistent. The MAIN threat with this system is damaging winds. But hail and an Isolated tornado can’t be ruled out. The rest of the viewing area north of Muncie (Northern Delaware County and Marion) are under an SLIGHT RISK for severe weather. You can see the information in the first graphic below.

For a more detailed forecast, please view the graphics below. Today would not be a good day to be outside. Remember if you see high water on the roads due to localized flooding, turn around don’t drown! Stay safe and alert to all local media in case any warnings were to become in effect.
