5-day Forecast 3/3-3/7/2023: A Wild Ride into Spring Break, Repeat of May-like Conditions?

Alexa, play the “California Screamin'” rollercoaster on-ride music! We’re in for a wild ride!

Good Midday, Cardinal Country!! Quite the windy washout ahead with a Wind Advisory (until 1 AM Saturday, gusts to 55 mph possible as of the latest update) and a Flood Watch (Also until Saturday at 1AM, 2 inches or more of rain expected) all in effect. This storm looks to be with us all day with the best rain through 5 pm & and two peaks in the wind up to around 5pm & through the late-night hours after there may be a brief lull. Much more tranquil conditions & much more pleasant temperatures through the weekend, with 50s rolling in, then a big rise into the upper 60s by Monday as a ridge of high pressure flexes its muscles. Then we’re headed back down through midweek next week with some 50s to start with again on Tuesday with a drop down through the 40s (and maybe upper 30s) & rain perhaps mixing with or changing over to snow through next Thursday. Fly safe, Cardinals, and *turn around, don’t drown*
